Access to the Ship is free.
Construction will start on November 10th by student carpenters from Manchester College in Great Britain directed and supervised by two professors.
300 local school children organized by the Miami Children’s Museum are painting scenes of tolerance on one-square meter panels of fabric which will be assembled as a beautiful sail on the completed ship. Here are some examples of their amazing work.
Miami’s rich diversity offers the perfect laboratory for The Ship of Tolerance which will serve as a vehicle for children to transcend the tensions that divide our world.
